Tips Homebuyers and Sellers should Know

The most helpful advice comes from people that are doing the work everyday. That’s why we put together some tips for homebuyers and sellers from some of our agents.

• Marty Sowa: “If I could provide a tip to a homebuyer, make sure you get preapproved first so you’re ready to go. If you find something you like, this market is really busy you’re going to have to make a decision really quickly, and you’ve got to have your ducks in a row.”
• “For sellers, make sure your house is neat, tidy, clean. Never had anybody say their house was too clean.
• Sandy Fake (not pictured above): “A tip that I would give to first time homebuyers was work with your Realtor, believe in your Realtor, trust your Realtor, they usually know more than you do at this point.”
• Cody Smith: “One thing that I would recommend for all buyers is to go through the preapproval process, talk to your lender, get that in place, find out what type of loan you qualify for. It makes things a lot easier when you’re searching and you can really narrow down what you’re trying to find.”
• Greg Badour: “One tip that I would have for buyers in the current real estate market, is that you need to be prepared to be aggressive, be willing to escalate, be willing to think outside the box in order to get yourself the home you want to get because it’s very much a seller’s market. As soon as you see a property go up and is available for showings, get into it as quickly as possible.”
